IHC seeks report on presence of Bushra Bibi in Sub Jail

ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad High Court (IHC) ordered the senior officer of the administration to visit the sub-jail Banigala and sought a report on the presence of Bushra Bibi in the sub-jail.

In the Islamabad High Court, a hearing was held on the petition for the transfer of Bushra Bibi from Banigala to Adiala Jail, in which Bushra Bibi's lawyer said that Bushra Bibi had been locked in a room in Banigala's house, the court should appoint a bailiff, who should go there and see and give a report today.

The lawyer said that when Bushra Bibi reached Adiala, the Superintendent of Jail had no authority to transfer her to Banigala.

The public prosecutor said in the court that Bushra Bibi is the former first lady, she was transferred to Banigala for her safety.

The court directed to submit the report of the superintendent jail order to the registrar and said that the superintendent jail order should be passed regarding the meeting between Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi.
