Pakistani nationals residing in foreign countries, including United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia, can gift old and used cars and other vehicle to his family members under Federal Board of Revenue’s (FBR) Gift Scheme against payment of duty and taxes.
A person residing abroad for a minimum of 700 days, in immediately preceding 3 years, can gift a vehicle to his family members under this scheme.
Which Vehicles Can Be Sent as Gift from UAE and Saudi Arabia?
Old and used vehicles of Asian Makes can be sent as gift by overseas Pakistani from the UAE and Saudi Arabia.
Cars not older than three years and other vehicles not older than five years can be imported under these schemes.
Who are not eligible for this scheme?
Students receiving remittance from Pakistan, non-earning members of the Pakistani nationals living abroad and those who have imported, gifted or received a vehicle in past two years are not eligible.

Special Discount on Hybrid Electric Vehicles
50% exemption from duty and taxes is admissible on import of Hybrid Electric Vehicles (HEVs) of engine capacity up to 1800cc and 25% exemption from duty & taxes is admissible on import of HEVs of engine capacity from 1800cc to 2500cc.
