Donald Trump issued a strong warning in a social media post, saying that the United States could target Iran’s power plants and bridges on Tuesday if the Strait of Hormuz is not reopened. In his message, he stressed that serious action would be taken if the key shipping route remains closed.
He referred to Tuesday as a day when major strikes could take place in Iran, linking it to the ongoing situation in the Strait of Hormuz, which has reportedly remained restricted since tensions increased following US and Israeli actions against Iran.
In the same post, Trump used harsh language to demand the reopening of the strait and warned of severe consequences if the situation continues.
Separately, he also announced that he will hold a press conference on Monday at the Oval Office. This comes after the US military successfully rescued two American pilots whose aircraft had been downed in Iran.
