Journey of Leanne Wong
Leanne's athletic journey didn’t start in a gym but on the ice. At just four years old, her father, a fan of figure skating legend Michelle Kwan, introduced her to ice skating. However, the frequent falls on the hard ice quickly made her realize that this wasn't her sport. This pivotal moment led her to gymnastics, where she found her true passion. In her book My Journey: Trust the Process, Leanne reflects on these early days and the challenges she faced as she transitioned into the sport that would ultimately define her.Achievements & Olympic Dreams
Over the years, Leanne has built an impressive resume in gymnastics. She’s competed in three World Championships, helping Team USA secure gold in both 2022 and 2023. Her individual achievements include a silver medal in the all-around and a bronze on the floor at the 2021 World Championships. Leanne's first taste of the Olympics came in 2020 when she qualified as an alternate for the Tokyo Games, though she was sidelined due to COVID-19 protocols. Now, as she heads to Paris, she’s focused on supporting her team and soaking in every moment of the experience.Birth of Leanne Wong Bowtique
Leanne’s creativity extends beyond the gym. In 2021, she launched her own business, Leanne Wong Bowtique, which sells handmade bows and signature leotards. What began as a personal style choice—wearing bows in her hair—quickly blossomed into a beloved brand among young gymnasts. Through her business, Leanne has become more than just an athlete; she’s a mentor and inspiration to the next generation, showing them that it’s possible to blend passion with entrepreneurship.Inspiration from Legend
Leanne finds inspiration in her teammate and gymnastics icon, Simone Biles. She admires Simone for her incredible skills and the countless medals she’s earned on the world stage. Competing alongside Simone at the World Championships was a highlight for Leanne, who looks up to her not just as a teammate but as a role model who has paved the way for young gymnasts like herself.Balancing Life
Despite her demanding gymnastics career, Leanne also excels as a pre-med student at the University of Florida. Outside of gymnastics and academics, she enjoys cooking, playing the piano, shopping, and biking. As she prepares for the Olympics in Paris, Leanne’s philosophy remains simple: to have fun and cherish every moment. Her journey serves as an inspiration, showcasing how one can balance multiple passions while staying true to their love for the sport.[embedpost slug="who-is-andre-levrone-jr-all-about-former-nfl-player/"]
