Karachi, July 23, 2025 — TikTok has released its Community Guidelines Enforcement Report for the first quarter of 2025, detailing global and country-specific content moderation efforts. The report covers data from January to March 2025 and shows a significant spike in video removals from Pakistan.
During these three months, TikTok deleted 24,954,128 videos from Pakistan alone for violating its community guidelines. Impressively, 99.4% of the content was removed proactively before users reported it, with 95.8% of it taken down within just 24 hours of being posted.
Globally, TikTok removed over 211 million videos, which amounts to approximately 0.9% of all content uploaded during the quarter. Of these, around 184 million videos were flagged and removed by TikTok’s automated systems. However, over 7.5 million videos were later restored after further review.
The report highlights that 30.1% of deleted content involved sensitive or adult topics that violated the platform’s content policies. Additionally, 11.5% breached community safety standards, 15.6% violated privacy and security guidelines, and 45.5% were flagged for misinformation. Another 13.8% were identified as manipulated media or AI-generated content.
TikTok emphasized its continued commitment to keeping the platform safe, respectful, and free from harmful or misleading content across all regions, including Pakistan.
