BEIJING: OnePlus, Oppo, and Realme are reportedly moving toward deeper software integration that could see OxygenOS and Realme UI fully merged into Oppo’s ColorOS platform, according to industry reports.
The development follows OnePlus co-founder Pete Lau’s 2021 announcement, in which he confirmed that OxygenOS and ColorOS would be combined to streamline development and unify the companies’ software systems.
According to recent reports, Realme UI may also be integrated into the same platform, potentially resulting in all three brands operating on a shared ColorOS-based system.
If implemented, the move would reduce development costs and reflect a broader consolidation strategy within the group’s smartphone ecosystem.

The report also suggests that Realme could gradually exit the Chinese market and shift its focus toward international regions.
Earlier speculation indicated closer alignment between OnePlus and Realme, although sources suggest both brands may continue to operate independently in India, while appearing increasingly unified in other global markets.
Insider claims further suggest that OnePlus may limit its focus to India and China in the coming phase.
Recent developments appear to support this direction, with OnePlus Germany reportedly redirecting customers toward Oppo devices, while several products on the UK website are listed as out of stock.
In India, after-sales support for OnePlus devices is already being handled through Oppo’s service network, indicating deeper operational integration.
The report does not clarify the companies’ long-term strategy for the United States, where the smartphone market is dominated by Apple, Samsung, and Motorola.
It remains uncertain whether Oppo will expand its presence in the US or scale back operations further. OnePlus has also struggled to gain significant market share in the region, reportedly remaining below 1%.
If the reports prove accurate, the move would mark a major restructuring of OnePlus, Oppo, and Realme operations, with a shift toward a unified ColorOS ecosystem across brands and markets.
