Talking in an interview, Nawal Saeed answered the most raised question of why Gulzaib did not go back despite realizing Tabrez’s interest in her. She said “Gulzaib is a single woman who has a very secure job where she gets promotions every week, so she feels that staying at the job will be good for her. She is also shown as a strong woman and she knew people in her village would not be able to care for her.”
She also talked about the heavy makeup of Gulzaib and how people have been pointing out that the look does not go with the image of a simple village girl. Nawal said that “he does not put special effort into looking that way. She is looking that way with very simple makeup. She added that Jaan e Jahan is a larger-than-life project and therefore she has to look a bit dreamy and it is the demand of Jaan e Jahan world.”
