The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecast rain, wind, and thunderstorms for Islamabad, Rawalpindi, and various regions in Pakistan on Sunday evening/night and Monday. Monsoon currents from the Arabian Sea are affecting southeastern Pakistan, with a shallow westerly wave over Kashmir and nearby areas.
As a result, rain, wind, and thunderstorms are expected in the twin cities and isolated locations in northeast Punjab, southeastern Sindh, upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Kashmir, and adjacent hilly regions on Sunday evening/night. On Monday, similar weather conditions are predicted for the twin cities, northeast Punjab, upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Kashmir, and Gilgit-Baltistan.
For Islamabad, the maximum temperature is expected to range between 39-41°C on Monday and 38-40°C on Tuesday. In Rawalpindi, temperatures are forecasted to be between 38-40°C on Monday and 39-41°C on Tuesday.
In the past 24 hours, rain, wind, and thunderstorms have been observed in isolated areas of northeast Punjab, the Pothohar region, upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Kashmir, northeast/south Balochistan, and Gilgit-Baltistan. The rest of the country experienced hot and humid weather.

Nokkundi remained the hottest place in the country where the maximum temperature was recorded at 47°C. Maximum temperature in Bahawalpur and Dalbandin was recorded at 46°C, and Sibbi, Dadu, Bhakkar and Jacobabad at 43°C.
In Islamabad, maximum temperature was recorded at 39°C. Relative humidity in the evening was recorded at 67 percent.
In Rawalpindi, maximum temperature was recorded at 38°C. Relative humidity in the evening was recorded at 61 percent.
