Lahore and parts of Punjab are expected to experience increased rainfall and gusty winds from Thursday night through Saturday. According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), strong monsoon currents from the Arabian Sea and Bay of Bengal will affect upper and central regions of Pakistan, alongside a westerly wave impacting the northern areas.
Anticipated areas for rain and gusty winds include Murree, Galyat, Rawalpindi, Jhelum, Chakwal, Attock, Mandi Bahauddin, Gujrat, Gujranwala, Lahore, Kasur, Okara, Sheikhupura, Hafizabad, Mianwali, Sargodha, Khushab, Faisalabad, Jhang, Toba Tek Singh, and Sahiwal during the specified period.
Heavy rainfall is likely in some places, potentially leading to flash floods in local nullahs/streams in Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Murree, Galyat, and hill torrents in Dera Ghazi Khan from July 5th to 7th. Urban flooding is also a concern for Lahore, Sialkot, Gujranwala, Narowal, Rawalpindi, and Faisalabad. Landslides could disrupt traffic in Murree and Galyat.
In Lahore, maximum temperatures are expected to range from 36-38°C on Friday and 35-37°C on Saturday. Recent rain-wind/thundershowers affected Lahore, the Pothohar region, and northeast Punjab over the past 24 hours, while hot and humid conditions prevailed elsewhere in the province.

Bahawalpur remained the hottest place in the province where the maximum temperature was recorded at 43°C. Maximum temperature in Dera Ghazi Khan was recorded at 42°C, and Multan at 41°C.
In Lahore, maximum temperature was recorded at 35°C. Relative humidity in the evening was recorded at 65 per cent.
