ISLAMABAD: Saudi Ambassador Nawaf bin Said Al-Malki on Thursday inaugurated the Shelter and Winter Kits Project 2025, reaffirming Saudi Arabia’s steadfast support for Pakistan.
Speaking at the launch ceremony, Ambassador Al-Malki announced that the Kingdom, through the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief), has donated 84,500 shelter and winter kits. These aid packages aim to provide relief to vulnerable communities across Pakistan during the harsh winter months.The Saudi envoy stated that the assistance will be distributed across all four provinces, as well as in Gilgit-Baltistan and Azad Jammu & Kashmir, ensuring widespread support for those in need.
Saudi Arabia’s Commitment to Pakistan
Expressing his gratitude, Ambassador Al-Malki said, "It is my pleasure to participate in this ceremony on behalf of my country, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, to hand over this generous gift to our brotherly nation, Pakistan. The KSrelief continues to serve humanity globally, and in Pakistan, it remains steadfast in providing support whenever needed."
He emphasized the enduring ties between Saudi Arabia and Pakistan, highlighting the commitment of King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz to strengthening bilateral relations. "The Government of Saudi Arabia will always stand by its Pakistani brothers to elevate our brotherly relations to new heights," he added.
Concluding his remarks, the ambassador prayed for peace, prosperity, and stability in both nations, reinforcing the shared values and deep-rooted solidarity between Saudi Arabia and Pakistan.
Saudi Arabia has consistently provided humanitarian aid to Pakistan through KSrelief, supporting disaster relief efforts, healthcare programs, and poverty alleviation initiatives. The latest winter aid package is expected to offer much-needed comfort to thousands struggling with extreme weather conditions.
