Monsoon rains of varying intensities, accompanied by gusty winds, are expected in Islamabad, Rawalpindi, and other parts of Pakistan on Monday night and Tuesday, with intermittent breaks.
According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), monsoon currents from the Arabian Sea are moving into central and southern parts of the country.
Due to these conditions, monsoon rains and gusty winds are likely in the twin cities, as well as in isolated areas of Kashmir, upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, northeast and southern Punjab, and the Pothohar region on Monday night and Tuesday. Partly cloudy weather with light rain is anticipated in Karachi and in isolated coastal areas of Sindh.
The maximum temperature in Islamabad is expected to range between 35-37°C on Tuesday and Wednesday, while Rawalpindi's maximum temperature is likely to be between 32-34°C on Tuesday and 31-33°C on Wednesday.
Over the last 24 hours, monsoon rains have already occurred in Punjab, Islamabad, upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, northeast Balochistan, and Karachi.

Nokkundi was the hottest location in the country, with a maximum temperature of 47°C. Dalbandin recorded a high of 45°C, while Sibbi and Chilas each reached 43°C.
In Islamabad, the maximum temperature was 32°C, with the evening relative humidity at 73 percent.
In Rawalpindi, the maximum temperature also reached 32°C, but the evening relative humidity was much lower at 8 percent.
