Widespread monsoon rains are expected across Pakistan from July 28 to July 31, with intermittent breaks.
According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), strong monsoon currents from the Arabian Sea are moving into the northern regions of Pakistan and are likely to extend to central and southern regions starting July 29.
This weather system is predicted to bring widespread rains to the country until July 31, with occasional breaks.
Kashmir: Rains and gusty winds with few heavy falls are expected in Kashmir (Neelum Valley, Muzaffarabad, Rawalakot, Poonch, Hattian, Bagh, Haveli, Sudhanoti, Kotli, Bhimber, Mirpur) till July 31 with occasional gaps.
Punjab/Islamabad: Rains and gusty winds with few heavy falls are likely in Islamabad/Rawalpindi, Murree, Galliyat, Attock, Chakwal, Talagang, Jhelum, Mandi Bahauddin, Gujrat, Gujranwala, Hafizabad, Wazirabad, Sahiwal, Jhang, Toba Tek Singh, Nankana Sahib, Chiniot, Faisalabad, Lahore, Sheikhupura, Sialkot, Narowal, Okara, Pakpattan, Kasur, Khushab, Sargodha, Bhakkar and Mianwali from July 28 to July 31 with occasional gaps. Rain-wind/thundershowers are also likely in Bahawalpur, Bahawalnagar, Dera Ghazi Khan, Multan, Khanewal, Lohdran, Muzaffargarh, Kot Addu, Rajanpur, Rahimyar Khan and Layyah from July 29 to July 31 with occasional gaps.
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa: Rain-wind/thunderstorms with few heavy falls are predicted in Dir, Swat, Kohistan, Malakand, Bajaur, Shangla, Battagram, Buner, Kohat, Bajaur, Mohmand, Khyber, Mansehra, Abbottabad, Haripur, Peshawar, Swabi, Nowshera, Mardan, Charsadda, Hangu, Kurram, Orakzai, Waziristan, Bannu, Lakki Marwat and Dera Ismail Khan from July 28 to July 31 with occasional gaps.
Balochistan: Mainly hot and humid weather is expected in most districts of the province. Rain-wind/thundershowers with isolated heavy falls are expected in Khuzdar, Kalat, Lasbella, Awaran, Panjgur, Ketch, Ziarat, Zhob, Barkhan, Musa Khel, Shirani, Kohlu, Harnai, Naseerabad and Jaffarabad from July 29 to July 31 with occasional gaps.
Sindh: Mainly hot and very humid weather is expected in most districts of the province. Rain-wind/thundershowers are likely in Mithi, Sanghar, Umarkot, Tharparkar, Mirpur Khas, Thatta, Badin, Sajawal, Karachi, Hyderabad, Shaheed Benazirabad, Sukkur, Larkana, Jaccoabad and Dadu on 29th & 30th July with occasional gaps.
Gilgit-Baltistan: Mainly partly cloudy to cloudy weather conditions are expected in Gilgit-Baltistan. However, rainfall activity is also likely in Diamir, Astore, Skardu, Gilgit, Ghanche, and Shigar on the 28th & 29th of July with occasional gaps.

Heavy rainfall could cause flash flooding in local streams and nullahs in areas such as Murree, Galliyat, Mansehra, Kohistan, Dir, Swat, Shangla, Bunner, Kurrum, Orakzai, Khyber, Mohmand, Nowshera, Swabi, Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Northeast Punjab, and the hill torrents of Dera Ghazi Khan and Kashmir from July 28 to 30.Urban flooding is likely in Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Lahore, Sialkot, Sargodha, Faisalabad, and Peshawar during the same period. Landslides might disrupt traffic in the hilly regions of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Murree, Galliyat, Kashmir, and Gilgit-Baltistan.
Downpours, windstorms, and lightning could disrupt daily life and damage weak structures like electric poles, billboards, vehicles, and solar panels. Farmers should plan their activities according to the weather forecast.
