More intermittent rains with isolated heavy falls and hailstorms are expected in Islamabad, Rawalpindi and parts of Pakistan on the next two days.
According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), a westerly wave prevails over upper parts of Pakistan which will likely persist till April 20.
The weather in most parts of Pakistan is expected to stay mainly dry on Thursday night, with hot conditions in the southern areas. However, some rain, strong winds, and a few hailstorms are likely in upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Kashmir, and Gilgit-Baltistan.
On Friday and over the next two days, off-and-on rain, gusty winds, and isolated heavy showers with hailstorms are expected in Islamabad, Rawalpindi, the Potohar region, upper Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Kashmir, and Gilgit-Baltistan. Sindh will continue to experience heatwave conditions until April 18.
In terms of temperatures, Islamabad is likely to see highs between 34°C and 36°C on Friday, and 35°C to 37°C on Saturday. Rawalpindi is expected to have similar temperatures on both days.
Over the last 24 hours, most areas of the country remained hot and dry, especially in the south. However, rain and some hailstorms were reported in parts of upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the Potohar region, Islamabad, and Kashmir.

Nawabshah remained the hottest place in Pakistan, where the maximum temperature was recorded at 49°C. The maximum temperature in Sibbi, Padidan, Dadu and Mohenjo-Daro was recorded at 47°C, Larkana at 46°C, and Khairpur, Mithi and sakrant at 45°C.
In Islamabad, the maximum temperature was recorded at 35°C. Relative humidity in the evening was recorded at 33 percent.
In Rawalpindi, the maximum temperature was recorded at 35°C. Relative humidity in the evening was recorded at 26 percent.
