ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) has issued directives instructing Pakistani airlines not to utilize Iranian airspace.
Sources said that airlines bound for Pakistan have been advised to take the route via Muscat (Oman).
Despite this directive, CAA sources indicate that there is rigorous monitoring of flights approaching from the western direction, including Iran.
While Iranian airspace has not been officially closed for commercial flights, and no ban has been imposed on flights entering Pakistan from any direction, the CAA has taken precautionary measures.
Earlier the day, the Foreign Office announced that Pakistan conducted precision military strikes against terrorist hideouts within the Iranian border in Siestan-o-Baluchistan province.
This action was in response to Iran's violation of Pakistan's airspace and subsequent strikes in Balochistan.
In light of Iran's breach of Pakistani sovereignty, the Foreign Office declared the expulsion of the Iranian ambassador and the recall of Pakistan's envoy from Tehran.
The Foreign Office spokesperson, Mumtaz Zahrah Baloch, emphasized Pakistan's right to respond to this violation, holding Iran responsible for the consequences.
The statement released by the Foreign Office late at night revealed that the strikes within Pakistani territory resulted in the tragic death of two innocent children and injuries to three girls.
The Foreign Office denounced Iran's actions as an unprovoked and blatant breach of international law and the principles outlined in the Charter of the United Nations.
