LAHORE: At least 6 people including 4 women and a girl were killed due to the fireworks explosion in Phalia area of Mandi Bahauddin District.
According to the rescue team, firecrackers were being prepared in a house in Kot Phule Shah area of Mandi Bahauddin. The force of the explosion resulted in severe structural damage to the house, which caused the collapse of a portion of the building.
Rescue officials said that 6 people, including 4 women and a girl, died and 7 were injured under the debris.
According to the rescue team, the blast occurred early in the morning and a woman and a girl from the neighboring house were buried under the debris and died.
The rescue officials said that all the bodies and injured have been shifted to Tehsil Headquarters Hospital, Phalia and Rural Health Center.

Earlier, At least four people were killed while 32 others sustained injuries after a blast rocked Balochistan’s city of Turbat on Saturday.
Law enforcement officials reported that five of those injured in the blast are in critical condition, though the exact nature of the explosion has yet to be determined.
