Eid al-Adha is being observed today with great devotion and respect in Saudi Arabia, the UAE, and other Gulf nations.
Millions of Muslims offered Eid prayers in uplifting gatherings. During these prayers, special invocations were made for the unity of the Muslim community, assistance for oppressed Muslims, and the advancement and well-being of the Islamic world.
Grand Eid prayer congregations were held at the revered Masjid al-Haram in Makkah and the illuminated Masjid an-Nabawi in Madinah. The Imam of the Two Holy Mosques led the prayers in Masjid al-Haram while a vast number of worshippers gathered in Masjid an-Nabawi.
Sermons were delivered at both locations emphasizing sacrifice, selflessness, and brotherhood among Muslims.
In Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, and other Emirati cities, Eid prayers also took place peacefully, with people of all ages participating enthusiastically.
Meanwhile, Hajj rituals are ongoing. Pilgrims have moved from Muzdalifah to Mina, where they are performing the ritual of stoning the large pillar (representing Satan). Following this, they will perform the rites of sacrifice, hair trimming or shaving, and exiting the state of Ihram. Afterwards, pilgrims will complete the circumambulation of Tawaf al-Ziyarah and the ritual walk of Sa'i.
Saudi authorities have finalized all arrangements to ensure the comfort and safety of pilgrims in the holy sites. The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah, the Ministry of Interior, and other relevant agencies have organized coordinated operations.
Royal Saudi Forces helicopters are conducting aerial surveillance of the holy sites to ensure prompt action in any emergency. Thousands of personnel are working around the clock in areas such as traffic control, medical aid, sanitation, guidance, and security to provide pilgrims with every possible convenience.
