Islamabad: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has paid tribute to three heroes from Gilgit-Baltistan Wasit Khan, Ansar, and Muhammad Khan for their extraordinary service in saving lives.
The three individuals issued early warnings of a GLOF (Glacial Lake Outburst Flood), helping to evacuate local communities and saving over 300 lives.
Recognizing their bravery and dedication, the Prime Minister has invited them to Islamabad and announced special awards in their honor.
"Wasit Khan, Ansar, and Muhammad Khan have set a remarkable example of responsibility and courage. The entire nation, including myself, is proud of them," said Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif. He added that such individuals are the pride of the nation for putting others' safety above their own.
Under the Prime Minister’s directive, the three heroes will be officially welcomed in Islamabad, where they will be presented with special honors and rewards in recognition of their life-saving efforts.
