ISLAMABAD: The appointment of former Caretaker Chief Minister Punjab Mohsin Naqvi as Chairman Pakistan Cricket Board was challenged in the Islamabad High Court(IHC).
The Chief Justice of Islamabad High Court asked the lawyer during the hearing on the petition why are you saying that the appointment was wrong.
The petitioner's lawyer said that according to the constitution, there is a difference between the elected and the caretaker prime minister, the caretaker prime minister cannot be the patron of the Pakistan Cricket Board, and the authority to appoint the chairman PCB as patron rests with the prime minister.
The Chief Justice said that you are saying that the caretaker prime minister did not have this authority.
During the hearing, Chief Justice Islamabad High Court Amir Farooq got angry when the petitioner's lawyer spoke while writing the order and said that if you are speaking while writing the order, then he would not write it, and wait for his order.
Later, Chief Justice of Islamabad High Court Amir Farooq reserved the decision as the petition was admissible.

Earlier, A petition has been filed in the Lahore High Court(LHC) to remove Chairman Senate Sadiq Sanjrani from office.
