MAKKAH: A 42-year-old Pakistani pilgrim miraculously survived after suffering five heart attacks during this year’s Hajj pilgrimage.
Amid extreme heat, many pilgrims fell ill during the religious rites, with some tragically passing away. The Pakistani pilgrim was brought to East Arafat Hospital in critical condition after experiencing multiple cardiac arrests.
Thanks to the swift and dedicated efforts of the medical team, his life was saved. However, due to the severity of his condition, he remains on a ventilator.
Authorities continue to provide care and monitor his recovery closely, as the intense heatwave during Hajj 2025 has posed significant health risks for many pilgrims.
The patient was shifted to King Abdullah Medical City in Makkah for further treatment where angioplasty was made to open the patient's heart arteries and then Impla (mechanical device) was also installed in the heart to keep blood circulation.
After being under the supervision of doctors, the patient's health began to improve, after which the patient was discharged from the hospital on June 17.
