Karachi is bracing for heavy rain and thunderstorms on July 29 and 30, according to the Met Office. A strong monsoon system is forecasted to enter Sindh on the night of July 28 (Sunday), bringing significant weather changes to the region.

The National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) has issued a nationwide caution regarding heavy rainfall from July 28 to 31. The NDMA warns that monsoon currents from the Arabian Sea will advance into the upper parts of the country, leading to substantial rainfall during this period.

In Karachi, the weather system is expected to bring heavy rains, with some areas potentially facing intense downpours. Other districts in Sindh are also likely to be impacted by the incoming monsoon system.

The NDMA also highlights the risk of flash floods associated with this new monsoon pattern. Regions such as upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Galiyat, Murree, Gilgit-Baltistan, and Kashmir are anticipated to experience heavy rains and thunderstorms.

Currently, Karachi and other coastal districts in Sindh are experiencing cloudy weather, with light rainfall or drizzle expected in various areas throughout the day. Residents are advised to stay informed about weather updates and take necessary precautions to ensure safety during the upcoming storms.
