Bangkok: Mexico’s Fatima Bouch was crowned Miss Universe 2025 in a dazzling finale that celebrated beauty, intellect, and advocacy on a global stage. Her victory not only marks a personal triumph but also highlights her dedication to humanitarian work and social initiatives.
The 25-year-old humanitarian received the crown from last year’s winner, Denmark’s Victoria Care Thelloug.
Hosted in Thailand, the pageant featured 120 contestants from around the world.
The finale was hosted by American comedian Steve Byrne, with an opening performance by Thai singer Jeff Setter.

Thailand’s Praweenar Singh was named runner-up, while Venezuela’s Stefany Abasali, the Philippines’ Athisa Manilo, and Ivory Coast’s Olivia Yassé completed the top five. Palestinian contestant Nadine Ayoub made history as the first woman representing Palestine, advancing to the top 30 semi-finals.

During the finale, contestants were asked how they would address global issues if given the opportunity to speak at the United Nations General Assembly and how they would use the Miss Universe platform to empower young women.
Fatima Bouch responded with conviction: “Believe in the power of your authenticity. Your dreams matter, your heart matters. Never let anyone make you doubt your worth.”
