Global pop sensation Dua Lipa has parted ways with her longtime manager, David Levy, after reports emerged linking him to a private letter that allegedly urged Glastonbury Festival organizers to drop Irish rap trio Kneecap from the event lineup.
According to sources familiar with the situation, Levy's name was found at the bottom of a confidential letter sent to Glastonbury founder Michael Eavis. The letter reportedly objected to Kneecap's appearance at the festival, citing their perceived political views. Once the letter was leaked, Lipa swiftly terminated her professional relationship with Levy, citing a breach of values.
Dua Lipa, known for her outspoken support for Palestinian rights, has often used her social media platforms to voice her stance on global issues. With over 80 million followers on Instagram, she has publicly criticized Israeli actions in Gaza and has taken part in protests against international complicity in conflict zones.
Despite the controversy, Kneecap went ahead with their Glastonbury performance. The trio later described the incident as a form of political censorship, calling it an example of how artistic voices are often silenced under pressure. While local police confirmed receiving complaints, no legal action was taken due to insufficient evidence.
