New research by experts on prediabetes and blood pressure has emerged. The new study identified the excess consumption of ultra-processed foods as a major cause of these diseases.

The study found that fast food, packaged snacks, drinks high in sugar or salt, and fat can significantly increase the risk of prediabetes.

In this regard, health experts have stated that the years of adolescence and early adulthood are extremely important for laying the foundation for long-term health.

By paying attention to dietary habits in the meantime, pre-diabetes can be prevented before it becomes a lifelong problem.

Scientists at the University of California observed 85 young people aged 17 to 22 for 4 years.

In light of this observation, it was concluded that the consumption of ultra-processed food is a major cause of prediabetes and blood pressure.
