Indus Motor Company (IMC) has expanded its vehicle offerings by introducing the petrol variant of its crossover SUV, the Corolla Cross.
This significant move deviates from IMC's previous emphasis on hybrid models, with the company unveiling two versions: the 1.8x and the 1.8.
The petrol Corolla Cross maintains the same dimensions as its hybrid counterpart, measuring 4460mm in length, 1825mm in width, and 1620mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2640mm and ground clearance of 161mm.
Both variants are powered by a 2ZR-FE 1798cc gasoline engine, generating 138hp at 6400 RPMs and 172 Nm of torque at 4000 RPMs, paired with a Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT).
Externally, the Corolla Cross boasts modern design elements, including 17-inch alloy rims with 215/60/R17 tires.
The upscale 1.8x model features advanced Bi-Beam LED headlights and LED fog lamps, distinguishing it from the base model equipped with halogen lights.
Interior features of the 1.8x variant include dual-zone climate control and a leather steering wheel, while the base model offers single-zone climate control and a urethane steering wheel.
Both models come equipped with safety features such as Anti-Lock Braking System (ABS), Emergency Brakeforce Distribution (EBD), and seven airbags.

Customers can choose from various color options for their Corolla Cross, including Red Mica Metallic, Super White, Attitude Black, Celestite Grey, Dark Blue Mica Metallic, and Metal Stream Metallic.
IMC has priced the Corolla Cross 1.8x at Rs. 8,899,000 and the 1.8 variant at Rs. 8,199,000 ex-factory.
Bookings for April and May 2024 require full payment upfront starting March 25th, while subsequent months only require a partial payment of Rs. 300,000.
The delivery of vehicles is scheduled to commence from April 15, 2024, subject to the terms outlined in the provisional booking order form (PBO).
