Gold rates in Pakistan kept rising on Monday as the precious metal gained strength in the international market.
According to the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association (APSGJA), the price of 24-karat gold went up by Rs5,500 per tola, reaching Rs428,200 in the local market. The price of 10 grams of 24-karat gold increased by Rs4,715 to Rs367,112, while 10 grams of 22-karat gold rose by Rs4,322 to Rs336,531.
In the global market, gold prices jumped by $55, reaching $4,071 per ounce. The increase is mainly due to renewed investor interest caused by economic uncertainty and currency fluctuations.
