"I call on Iran and Israel to agree to an immediate ceasefire," Guterres said. "We strongly hope peace is given a chance."
The UN chief stressed that the entire world is closely watching the escalating conflict between Iran and Israel. He urged both sides to avoid further warfare and emphasized that the only path to resolution lies in diplomacy.
Guterres warned that the Iran-Israel conflict is already affecting the global community and could spiral out of control if not addressed swiftly. “If this war spreads further, it will go beyond anyone’s control,” he cautioned.
