Do you wish to schedule your Instagram Reels to download automatically at your chosen time? Previously, you needed third-party apps like Hootsuite or Buffer for this task.

Now, Instagram has introduced its own reel scheduler, eliminating the need for external apps. You can set your reels to upload at a specified time directly within the Instagram app.

For effective social media growth and engagement, timely content delivery is crucial. Scheduling allows you to plan your content in advance, so you can concentrate on creating rather than worrying about posting your reels.

This article will guide you on using the built-in scheduling tool to schedule your Instagram Reels. Let's get started!

How to Schedule Instagram Reels

Switch Instagram account to Creator

The Reel Scheduler is only available to users who have a creator account on Instagram. If you don’t have it, you can switch your personal profile to a creator account at any time. Here is what you need to do:

Press now Edit profile under your biography, then click Switch to professional account option. Go to Menu >> Settings >> Account and search the same option.

Click on Continue button to skip the intro slides. After that, you will be asked to choose a Category for your account. Choose a category that best describes you and press the Done button.
