COLOMBO: Pakistan secured a commanding 102-run victory over Namibia in the ICC T20 World Cup, booking their place in the Super 8 stage with an emphatic all-round performance.
After winning the toss, Pakistan captain Salman Ali Agha elected to bat first on a batting-friendly surface in Colombo.

Opening the innings, Sahibzada Farhan and Saim Ayub provided a steady start before Ayub was dismissed for 14 runs with the score at 40. Captain Salman Ali Agha contributed a brisk 38 off 23 balls, while Khawaja Nafay managed five runs.
The highlight of the innings was Sahibzada Farhan’s magnificent century — his maiden hundred in a T20 World Cup. He smashed 100 runs off just 57 deliveries, striking four sixes and 10 boundaries in a dominant display of stroke play. Shadab Khan added valuable late momentum with a 36-run knock.
Pakistan finished their allotted 20 overs at 199 for 3.
For Namibia, Jack Brassell claimed two wickets, while Gerhard Erasmus took one.

Chasing a daunting 200-run target, Namibia’s batting line-up faltered under pressure and was bowled out for just 97 runs, handing Pakistan a comprehensive 102-run victory.
Pakistan had made two changes to their playing XI for the match, bringing in Salman Mirza and Khawaja Nafay in place of Shaheen Afridi and Abrar Ahmed.
With this win, Pakistan advanced confidently into the Super 8 phase of the tournament.
