Many Pakistani celebrities have recently voiced their protest against these unbearable electricity bills. A few days ago, actor Rashid Mehmood made headlines after sharing his hefty electricity bill.

Celebrities like Usman Peerzada, Shugufta Ejaz, Nooran Lal, and Humaira Channa also shared their electricity bills, condemning the unfair charges.

Recently, Usman Peerzada gave another interview where he expressed his despair over the unjust billing practices by WAPDA.

Talking about it, Usman Peerzada said, “I saw Rashid Mehmood’s interview regarding this and I didn’t feel good after hearing his interview regarding the unjust and heavy electricity bill. We all are facing the same situation, I don’t know how would I survive or how would people survive because we are paying more taxes than bills, the salaries of people are the same. The climate changes are horrible, now we are experiencing hot weather. I can’t turn on AC all the time but when the temperature becomes too hot then we have to turn it on. Wapda is not fair with the billings, it is doing dishonesty with its job, they are taking a lot of money from poor people and it has become difficult for them to survive”.
