Recently, he made an appearance on Ahmed Butt's podcast Excuse Me. In the podcast, he shared an interesting story about Parizaad and also explained how he obtained the role.
Talking about doing a short role in Parizaad, he said, “I worked mostly with Hum TV. I can’t say that I chose them; it was never a deliberate effort. It’s just that they wanted me, and it's good working with them. The same is the case with Parizaad; Mahesh gave me Parizaad’s script, and I was a bit reluctant while doing it, but then I agreed, and it went extremely well. But I would say that I have received the most love and acceptance after Parizaad. It was a privilege.”
He further shared another interesting story, “I once visited a tuck shop in Lahore airport where the shopkeeper was watching a video very keenly. I wanted Panadol and water because I had a headache. He ignored me, and also didn’t hear me properly. He gave me a strict look and provided me with Panadol and water. His interest compelled me to ask him about what he was watching; he said ‘Parizaad.’ I then asked, ‘What is it?’ He stared at me in anger and said, ‘This is the only good drama airing currently on television.’ I then asked him, ‘Would you like to see me in it?’ and told him that I would be appearing in Parizaad.”
