A tragic event unfolded at a private clinic in Karachi's Akhtar Colony, where a three-year-old girl reportedly passed away after being given an incorrect injection.
The girl’s family shared that she was taken to the clinic with a high fever. After the doctor administered an injection, the child’s body began to swell. Concerned, the parents returned to the clinic, but the doctor merely applied a bandage and sent them home.
The grieving family disclosed that the girl was the youngest of four siblings and has decided to pursue legal action against the doctor responsible. They have approached the police to file a case against the clinic.
Police reported that Dr. Ijaz Ahmed operates the clinic in Akhtar Colony. The child was initially brought in on Sunday with a fever. When her body began to swell, the family returned to the clinic the next day. As her condition deteriorated, she was taken to Jinnah Hospital, where she sadly passed away.
The authorities have acknowledged the incident and confirmed that an investigation is underway. The police assured that appropriate legal measures would be taken following a thorough inquiry into the matter.
