The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecasted increased rain and snowfall over the hills, along with isolated hailstorms for Peshawar and parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Wednesday evening/night and Thursday.
According to the synoptic situation, there is a westerly wave prevailing over the upper/central regions of Pakistan.
In light of these conditions, rain, wind, and thunderstorms, accompanied by snowfall over the hills, are expected in various regions including Waziristan, Lakki Marwat, Karak, Kohat, Kurram, Khyber, Peshawar, Bajaur, Chitral, Dir, Swat, Shangla, Kohistan, Abbottabad, Mansehra, Haripur, Buner, Swabi, Charsadda, Nowshera, and Mardan on Wednesday evening/night. Isolated heavy falls and hailstorms are also likely during this period.
On Thursday and Friday, predominantly cold and dry weather is anticipated in most parts of the province. Light rain, wind, and thunderstorms, along with snowfall over the hills, are expected in Kohistan and Mansehra.
The minimum temperatures in Peshawar are expected to range between 09-11 degrees Celsius on Thursday and Friday.
Additionally, rain, wind, and thunderstorms occurred in Peshawar and isolated areas in upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa over the last 24 hours.

Kalam remained the coldest place in the province where the temperature dropped 03 C below freezing.
In Peshawar, minimum temperature was recorded at 12 C. Relative humidity during the morning was recorded at 83 per cent.
