ISLAMABAD: The latest unofficial and unconfirmed results from 257 out of 265 constituencies in the National Assembly indicate a significant showing by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI)-backed independent candidates, who have secured 95 seats. However, the results of seven constituencies are still pending, and the outcome of one NA constituency is withheld due to a challenge raised by a PTI-backed candidate.
In the current standings, Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) holds the second position in the National Assembly with 78 seats, followed by the Pakistan People's Party (PPP) with 54 seats.
Other parties such as the Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P), Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazal (JUI-F), Istekham-e-Pakistan Party, Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q), Pakistan Muslim League-Zia, Majlis-e-Wahdatul Muslimeen, and Balochistan National Party have also secured representation in the lower house of Parliament.

With no single party in a position to form the government independently based on the current results, coalition-building and negotiations are anticipated to shape the formation of the government.
The election saw significant voter turnout, with around 60 million voters participating in the electoral process on February 8. The Free and Fair Election Network (FAFEN) reported that over 1.1 million election officials were involved in conducting the elections, supported by more than 0.7 million police and military personnel to ensure peace and order at polling stations across the country.
