ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif took the ambassadors of Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) into confidence over Pakistan’s perspective on recent developments in South Asia following the Pahalgam incident during their meeting.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, while speaking to the Ambassador of Saudi Arabia to Pakistan Nawaf bin Saeed Al-Maliky, at the PM House, condemned terrorism in all its forms and manifestations.
“Pakistan had rendered great sacrifices in its counter-terrorism efforts over the years. The prime minister told the Saudi ambassador that this was done not only to protect Pakistan but the entire world.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif vehemently rejected the baseless Indian accusations that linked Pakistan to the Pahalgam incident without any evidence and reiterated his call for a transparent and neutral international investigation into the matter.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif conveyed his warm wishes to Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmed Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, Amir of the State of Kuwait, during his meeting with Ambassador Nasser Abdulrahman Jasser.
He stressed that Pakistan condemns terrorism in all its forms and manifestations, adding that the country has suffered over 90,000 casualties and incurred more than USD 152 billion in economic losses over the years in its fight against terrorism.
He said that “Pakistan has already offered to the international community to conduct a credible, transparent and neutral investigation into the incident.”
The prime minister met with Hamad Obaid Ibrahim Salem Al-Zaabi, Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), and conveyed his warm wishes to Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al-Nahyan, President of the UAE.

The prime minister cited Pakistan’s enormous sacrifices—over 90,000 casualties and more than USD 152 billion in economic losses—as it tackled terrorism emanating from the western front. He said India’s recent actions and aggressive posture were diverting Pakistan’s focus from its counter-terrorism efforts.
PM Shehbaz Sharif categorically rejected India's baseless accusations that attempted to link Pakistan to the Pahalgam incident without providing any evidence.
He emphasized that Pakistan had no involvement in the incident and had offered a credible, transparent, and neutral international investigation. It was shared that Pakistan is reaching out to friendly countries to present its position on the current crisis.
