KARACHI: A fresh spell of rain is expected to develop over Karachi after 12 p.m on Thursday, likely bringing heavy downpours accompanied by thunder and lightning.
According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) spokesperson, Anjum Nazir Zigham, the new weather system is forecast to trigger thundershowers across the city from noon onwards. The rain is expected to continue intermittently until late night.
The Met Office further stated that light showers or drizzle may occur tomorrow morning before the system moves away from the city.
The spokesperson added that rains are expected in different parts of Sindh, including Karachi, from August 27, which may potentially continue till August 30.
However, the final prediction can be made only after the rain system approaches.
