WASHINGTON: US President Donald Trump has suggested the possibility of American involvement in the ongoing conflict between Israel and Iran.
In an off-camera conversation with senior US journalist Rachel Scott, Trump said, “It’s possible we may become involved in the Israel-Iran conflict,” while clarifying that the United States is currently not engaged in any military operations related to the situation.
Trump also expressed openness to diplomatic efforts, stating that he would “wholeheartedly welcome” Russian President Vladimir Putin playing a mediating role in the conflict.

On the other hand, British Chancellor Rachel Reeves has indicated that the United Kingdom could potentially support Israel in a conflict with Iran.
In an interview with international media, Reeves stated that the recent decision to deploy additional fighter jets to the Middle East was made to ensure the protection of British personnel and facilities in the region.
