RAWALPIND: Security Forces killed five terrorists (Khwarij) while two apprehended during three separate operations in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK) Province.
According to the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR), on reported presence of terrorists (Khwarij), an intelligence based operation was conducted by the Security Forces in Bajaur District.
During the conduct of operation, own troops effectively engaged the terrorists (Khwarij) location and after an intense fire exchange, three terrorists (Khwarij), including high-value target (HVT) Kharji Fareed Ullah, were sent to hell.”
Another intelligence based operation was conducted in general area Dossali, North Waziristan District. In ensuing fire exchange, two terrorists (Khwarij) were effectively neutralised by the security forces.
In third encounter that took place in Mohmand District, Security Forces successfully busted a terrorist (Kharji) hideout and apprehended two terrorists (Khwarij), including HVT Kharji Lal Ameer @Ibrahim, it further said.
Weapons, ammunition and explosives were also recovered from these terrorists (Khwarij), who remained actively involved in numerous terrorist activities.
“Sanitization operations are being conducted to eliminate any other terrorist(Kharji) found in the area, as the security forces of Pakistan are determined to wipe out the menace of terrorism from the country,” the press release said.
Meanwhile, President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif appreciated the security forces for killing five Khwarij in North Waziristan and Bajaur and arresting two others in Mohmand during three different operations in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province.
The president and the prime minister also commended the forces for killing a highly wanted Khwarji leader and arresting another one.
The president reiterated the resolve of continuing actions against Khwarij and appreciated security forces’ operations for eliminating these elements, President Secretariat Press Wing said in a press release.
He said their determination for the eradication of terrorism and for the defence of the motherland was resolute.
The prime minister said that they would continue foiling the nefarious designs of the enemies of humanity.
He also reaffirmed continuing the fight against terrorism till its complete elimination from the country, PM Office Media Wing said in a press release.
