ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has approved Pakistan’s first Skills Impact Bond aimed at providing employment opportunities to the youth.
A review meeting was held on the road map to provide employment to the youth under Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif, during which the Prime Minister approved the first Skills Impact Bond of Pakistan.
Talking to the meeting, the Prime Minister said that this modern model would attract private investment to enable the youth to employ.
He said that the youth will be taught skills according to the needs of the market, the government is providing employment for the youth with skill and education.
Shahbaz Sharif further said that he will review the implementation of the roadmap for employment supply every 2 months. He said preparations for skilled people for employment abroad will be preferred.
Earlier, Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Senator Ishaq Dar, held a significant meeting with U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio in Washington, marking their first in-person engagement.
The high-level talks were held at the U.S. Department of State, with senior officials from both sides in attendance.
Pakistan’s Ambassador to the United States, Rizwan Saeed Sheikh, also accompanied Dar. Upon arrival, U.S. officials extended a warm welcome to the Pakistani delegation.
The discussions covered a wide range of bilateral topics, including trade and economic collaboration, investment opportunities, technology, agriculture, minerals, and counterterrorism cooperation. Both sides expressed a strong commitment to strengthening ties across these sectors.
