According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), monsoon currents from the Arabian Sea and Bay of Bengal are influencing the upper and central parts of Pakistan. Additionally, a shallow westerly wave is impacting the northern regions of the country.
During this period, Murree, Galyat, Rawalpindi, Attock, Chakwal, Talagang, Jhelum, Mandi Bahauddin, Gujrat, Gujranwala, Hafizabad, Wazirabad, Lahore, Sheikhupura, Sialkot, Narowal, Sahiwal, Jhang, Toba Tek Singh, Nankana Sahib, Chiniot, Faisalabad, Khushab, Sargodha, Bhakkar, and Mianwali are expected to experience more monsoon rains and gusty winds on Wednesday night, Thursday, and Friday. There is a possibility of isolated heavy rainfall during this period as well.
On Thursday, Lahore is expected to see maximum temperatures ranging from 36 to 38°C, while on Friday, temperatures are forecasted to be between 35 and 37°C.
During the last 24 hours, Lahore, the Pothohar region, and upper Punjab experienced rain, thundershowers, and isolated heavy downpours. In contrast, hot and humid weather persisted in other parts of the province.

Bahawalpur recorded the highest temperature in the province, reaching 43°C. Dera Ghazi Khan followed closely with a maximum temperature of 42°C, while Sahiwal and Multan recorded temperatures of 41°C.
