LAHORE: The Joint Investigation Team (JIT) formed on the student protest in Lahore has decided to summon the disinformation spreaders.
According to the police officials, the first meeting of the JIT of the Home Department was held under the chairmanship of the Senior Superintendent of Police(SSP) Investigation, the meeting was attended by the representatives of the police and secret agencies.
It was decided in the meeting that the data of those who share fake news on social media will be collected and in the light of this data those who share videos and posts will be called in JIT.
It should be noted that a 6-member joint investigation team headed by SSP Investigation Muhammad Naveed was formed to investigate the viral news related to the female student in Lahore yesterday.
The JIT consists of three police and representatives of three secret agencies while the JIT is investigating the case registered in the Defense A police station.

Earlier, A Joint Investigation Team (JIT) was formed to investigate the viral news related to the female student in Lahore.
The JIT was headed by Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Investigation Muhammad Naveed, the 6-member JIT includes three police and representatives of three secret agencies, while the first meeting of the JIT has been convened today.
Apart from this, Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Cybercrime registered a case against 38 people for instigating the agitation.
The case was registered on the application private college principal. The two students suspected to be involved in the case were warned by the vice-principal to stop making the videos.
