New York: Indonesia has announced its readiness to send more than 20,000 peacekeeping troops to Gaza to help restore peace in the war-torn region.
Addressing the United Nations General Assembly, Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto said that Indonesia is among the countries contributing the most to UN peacekeeping missions.

He added that if the UN Security Council or General Assembly decides to take such a step, Indonesia is prepared to deploy 20,000 or more peacekeepers to Gaza — or anywhere else they are needed — to support peace efforts.
The Indonesian president added that there should be an independent Palestinian state in every case, but at the same time there is a guarantee of security for Israel so that peace can be achieved in both countries.
On the other hand, the US media reported that the US wants Arab and Muslim countries to be willing to send troops to Gaza so that Israel can evacuate.
The United States also wants Arab and Muslim countries to pay for the transfer of power to Palestine and to restore the work.
