KARACHI: The price of gold in Pakistan witnessed a sharp increase on Monday, reflecting a global upward trend in precious metals.
The per tola price of gold rose by Rs1, 600, reaching Rs359, 700. The price of 10 grams of gold increased by Rs1, 371, now standing at Rs308, 384.
In the international market, gold climbed by $16, hitting $3,372 per ounce.
Meanwhile, the price of silver also surged, rising by Rs65 per tola, bringing it to Rs4,087.
Earlier, the gold rate in Pakistan is Rs. 357,000 of 24K per tola.
According to the All Pakistan Gems and Jewelers Association, the price of gold per tola in the country today is Rs. 357,000 after a decrease of Rs 10,400.
According to the association, the price of 10 grams of gold has also decreased by Rs 8,917 to Rs. 306,070.
On the other hand, the price of gold in the global market has decreased by $ 104 to $ 3,248 per ounce.
