LODHRAN: The Awam Express train traveling from Peshawar to Karachi, was involved in a tragic accident near Lodhraan station. Rescue officials confirmed that five of the train's carriages overturned, resulting in the death of two people and injuries to 18 others.
The derailment occurred close to the Lodhraan station. According to authorities, a comprehensive rescue and relief operation was completed, and all injured passengers were quickly transported to a hospital. One of the deceased has been identified as Waqas, a resident of Khushab.
The railway authorities are currently investigating the cause of the accident. The focus of the rescue and relief efforts was to ensure the safety and well-being of all passengers on board.
On the other hand a horrific accident has occurred near the Lodhran junction involving the Awam Express train, which was traveling from Lahore to Karachi. The rescue operation is now complete.
According to early reports, six carriages of the Awam Express went off the tracks, with many passengers on board. The accident, which took place at 2:10 PM, resulted in one confirmed death and more than 20 injuries.
The single fatality was a 50-year-old passenger named Waqas, who died at the scene. Of the injured, 18 passengers were taken to DHQ Lodhran hospital, and two who were in serious condition were transferred to Bahawal Victoria Hospital (BVH). Over 20 other passengers received first aid and were released.
The wrecked train has been moved to a different track, and the "up and down" tracks have now been reopened for traffic. According to railway officials, a relief train is being used to get the remaining passengers to their final destination.
