LAHORE: Eleven Pakistani cricketers are set to participate in the upcoming Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) which is expected to commence on December 26.

Most of the players were acquired by franchises during the BPL auction, while some signed direct contracts.

Ehsanullah and Haider Ali will represent Noakhali Express, Osman Khan will play for Dhaka Capitals, and Abrar Ahmed has joined Chattogram Royals. Saim Ayub and Mohammad Amir are set to feature for Sylhet Titans.

The Bangladesh Premier League is expected to commence on December 26.

Earlier, India’s former captain and veteran opener, Rohit Sharma, has broken a record that belonged to Pakistan’s ex-captain Shahid Afridi for over a decade. Rohit is now the participant with the maximum sixes in ODI cricket history.

The 38-year-old achieved this milestone during the first ODI of the three-match series against South Africa in Ranchi. He scored a calm 57 runs, hitting 5 fours and three sixes, which helped him surpass Afridi’s record.

Shahid Afridi, who retired from ODI cricket in 2015, had hit 351 sixes in 398 matches. Rohit now has 352 sixes, taking the top spot and rewriting one of cricket’s most famous records.
