Taylor Swift’s meteoric rise to global superstardom is set to be explored in a newly confirmed two-part documentary series coming soon to Channel 4.
Currently titled Taylor, the series will chronicle the music icon’s 20-year journey — from a driven teenage songwriter to the world’s highest-grossing performer and cultural powerhouse. Featuring rare archival footage and exclusive interviews with industry insiders, high-profile commentators, and fans, the documentary promises to offer fresh insights into the phenomenon that is Swift.
Channel 4 describes the project as a deep dive into the cultural, social, and personal forces that have shaped Swift’s life and career. The series also aims to spotlight the loyal and passionate fanbase that has stood by her through every album, evolution, and era.
The documentary comes at a time when Swift’s global influence is unmatched. She recently became the first billionaire with music as her primary source of income, following the unprecedented success of her record-breaking Eras Tour. This new series will follow previous coverage of her life, including the Netflix special Miss Americana.

Under the microscope of social media since the MySpace and Tumblr era, she came of age during a new feminist wave. With her fame came controversy, which she so skilfully wrestled to the floor. We’re excited to tell her story.”
Produced by Sandpaper Films (A Deadly American Marriage), the series is led by director Guy King and producer Jessica Brady, with Lina Caicedo serving as archive producer. Executive producers include Susannah Price and Henry Singer, and editing is in the hands of BAFTA-winner Martin Thompson. Blue Ant International will handle global sales.
