Pakistani citizens intending to travel to Thailand for work are required to obtain National Identity Card for Overseas Pakistanis (NICOP) from Nadra.
The holder of the NICOP can enjoy the following benefits:
- Visa-free entry into Pakistan on a foreign passport.
- Protection of rights that all Pakistanis enjoy.
- Full recognition as a regular Pakistani citizen.
- Access to open a bank account in Pakistan.
- Access to apply for Machine Readable Passport (MRP).
Any citizen of Pakistan can apply for NICOP and can travel to Pakistan without requiring a visa in case of dual nationality. A passport number is a mandatory pre-requisite in case of applying for NICOP of newborn babies if they are born abroad.
Where to Apply for NICOP
You can apply for your NICOP by either visiting NADRA Registration Center (NRC) or through the Pak-Identity website.NADRA Registration Center (NRC)
You can apply for NICOP by going to the nearest NADRA Registration Center (NRC).
Following are the steps which you will be following at the NRC:
You will be issued a token.
Your photograph will be captured.
Your fingerprints and signature will be taken.
Your required data entry will be done and the form will be printed to be reviewed by yourself.
You will be handed over a printed version of your application form.

You can apply for your Smart National Identity Card for Overseas Pakistanis (SNICOP) by visiting the Pak Identity website and have it delivered to your doorstep.
New NICOP Fee for Thailand in Pakistan for July 2024
As of July 2024, the normal fee for new NICOP for Thailand in Pakistan stands at Rs5,820 while the urgent fee is Rs8,730 and the executive fee stands at Rs11,640.However, the normal fee for new NICOP online is $20 while the urgent and executive fees stand at $30 and $40 respectively.
