Gold prices in Pakistan dropped on Saturday following the global downward trend. Locally, the price per tola fell by Rs600 to reach Rs244,400.
According to the All Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA), the price for 10 grams of gold decreased by Rs514 to Rs209,534. This comes after a gain of Rs2,500 per tola on Friday.
Internationally, the price of gold also fell, reaching $2,337 per ounce with a premium of $20, marking a $6 loss for the day.
On the other hand, silver rates remained steady at Rs2,650 per tola.
Just last week, the price of gold per tola had reached an all-time high of Rs252,200 in Pakistan.
