Banks to Remain Open Over Weekend for Hajj 2025 Applications

• Hajj 2025: Banks in Pakistan to remain open on Saturday and Sunday.
• SBP instructs designated banks to open branches on November 30 and December 1, 2024.
• As many as 15 designated banks will keep their concerned branches open from 9:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

KARACHI: To facilitate aspiring pilgrims, the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP), at the request of the Ministry of Religious Affairs & Interfaith Harmony, has instructed designated banks to keep their branches open on Saturday, November 30, and Sunday, December 1, 2024.

The branches will operate from 9:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. nationwide, enabling pilgrims to submit Hajj 2025 applications along with the required dues.

Fifteen designated banks, including National Bank of Pakistan, Habib Bank, United Bank, MCB Bank, Allied Bank, Bank of Punjab, Bank Alfalah, Zarai Taraqiati Bank, Faysal Bank, Askari Bank, Bank Al-Habib, Habib Metropolitan Bank, Soneri Bank, Meezan Bank, and Bank Islami, have been entrusted to handle the application process.

Under the current Hajj Policy, these banks began accepting applications on November 18, 2024, with the submission period concluding on December 3, 2024. This special weekend service aims to ensure a smooth and accessible application process for all intending pilgrims across the country.
