The “White House” has confirmed that “negotiations between Iran and Israel may be on the horizon”, but the “United States is not currently participating directly” in any talks. The clarification came during a press briefing by the White House Press Secretary.
Addressing the media, the spokesperson stated that "President Donald Trump has not yet made a final decision” regarding U.S. involvement in the ongoing tensions between Iran and Israel. “A decision may come within a week or two,” she noted.
The Press Secretary also addressed the growing media speculation about the United States' potential role in the conflict. She explained that “there’s still uncertainty over whether negotiations will take place” and that the U.S. is currently maintaining a wait-and-see approach.
Reading a message on behalf of President Trump, she emphasized that the administration is closely monitoring developments but is refraining from any premature action.
In response to a question from the press, she also acknowledged that “the U.S. recognizes Iran has never come close to developing a nuclear weapon”, a key issue in the ongoing geopolitical debate.
