The J-10C is the same advanced fighter jet used by Pakistan in May 2025, when it reportedly shot down at least six Indian aircraft. Iran’s interest in the jet suggests it is actively working to strengthen its air force, especially after recent U.S. attacks on its nuclear facilities.
Tehran is now exploring a major defense deal with China, which could include the purchase of J-10C fighter jets, pilot training, and air defense systems. Some experts suggest that Iran may offer oil in exchange for these weapons, raising the possibility of a large-scale "oil-for-arms" agreement.
